Getting Here
Get lost in Girdwood on purpose!
Aside from having some really killer winter skiing at Alyeska Resort and the surrounding Chugach Mountain Range, this small, funky mountain town is the epicenter of adventure travel during the summer months for South East Alaska. Girdwood is the gateway to the Kenai Peninsula and the Prince William Sound, just 38 miles south of Anchorage down the Seward Highway (Interstate AK-1), one of the most beautiful drives in the United States. As you travel along the awe-inspiring Turnagain Arm, be sure to check out the bore tide, Dahl sheep, Beluga whales, Bald Eagles feeding on Hooligan, and other natural wonders during their respective seasons and cycles.
Alyeska Adventures Bed & Breakfast is situated on the corner of Cortina and Alpine roads in the Alyeska Basin. Conveniently located between the Girdwood town center and Alyeska Resort, it is about a 10-minute walk to the chairlifts, post office, local restaurants and shopping. Not to mention it is just a hop, skip, and jump away from some of the best trails leading through America's northernmost temperate rain forest.
