Rainforest Canopy Rainforest Canopy Tour "Zipline"

Description:

Try Alaska's hottest eco-adventure! Part historic trail Hike, part challenge course, this unique, sustainable eco-adventure is 100% fun! Expect to exercise and reach new heights on a series of engineered Ziplines, Skybridges and Tree Platforms suspended well above the forest floor. Tour is operated in a historic mining district over active claims, cascading waterfalls and every shade of green. Glacier Valley views and interpretation by our friendly, knowledgeable local guide staff make this a really outing! Under USFS Permit.

Gear and requirements:

The eco-tour is comprised of elements which require the use of climbing harnesses and related gear for which you will be instructed in proper techniques. Make no mistake, a reasonable level of fitness and (and courage) is prerequisite for elevated challenge course elements!

What to bring:

This is an all-weather activity, so please dress appropriately. Beware: it rains in a rainforest! Besides clothing, we supply everything you need, as well as a small day pack for you to carry essentials in. Please attempt to minimize the amount of stuff you bring with you because we do not employ Sherpas.

Location:

We operate at a top secret location located in the Turnagain Arm Region. For this reason, participation and access to our elevated course is by guided escort only. Upon reservation you are informed of the check-in or pick-up location, which is generally your hotel or our office. After you've signed yourself up, our passenger van departs for the site, and up into the forest canopy we go!

Spectators:

Please understand the course which traverses ravines, access which is 1/2 mile off the road system on a tertiary trail system, and we (who when re on course are tasked with the safety of the participants) are NOT set up in a way to accommodate non-participants, spectators, etc.

Special cautionary advice!

Did we mention this activity takes you high into the trees? Are you afraid of heights? Please consider this before you make your reservation. After departure refunds cannot be given if you decide to not participate for any reason whatsoever.

Group Rates:

To us, the word "discount" is like a swear word. But if you insist on using the "D" word, and offer to pre-pay for a group more than 10 well-behaved, cooperative people we will consider making you a deal. We have the capacity to handle groups up to 100, however this is accomplished by staggering departures of 12-18 person sub-groups over the course of the day.

Reservation Details:

Departures run June through September, and at other times by special arrangement, please call to check availability! Reservations are taken on a first come, first serve basis. Minimum numbers may apply. Walk-ups are welcome.

Refund Policy:

Cancellations made more than 1 week prior to departure will be given a full refund. Cancellations less than 1 week prior to departure will be charged 50% of party total. After departure refunds cannot be given if you decide to not participate for any reason whatsoever. Operator reserves the right to cancel due to extreme weather or other factors.
