Salmon Fishing

Welcome to the Twenty-Mile River, Alaska!

How about salmo for diner that you caught? Throw in a moose sighting to make sure your kids have a good time and what have you got? Just another day out in the Chugach National Forest!

Description:

Let our US Coast Guard Captain / guide take you out for a half day of fun. We cater to all interest and ability levels, and we are particularly concerned that you have a safe and comfortable experience. Jet Boating anybody? We are confident that you'll have a great time!

We operate our special New Zealand-design Jet Boat on the 20-mile river and adjoining tributaries. The staging location and boat launch is about 40 miles south of Anchorage, and 7 miles south of Girdwood (near Portage). Meeting location specified at time of reservation, depending on what is most convenient for you. Our 15-passenger van is ready to accommodate your group to get you to the river's edge. Once onboard, the journey from the river mouth is into a road-free wilderness with some great fishing opportunities! If you are staying with us, we can help you grill up that fresh salmon back at our Bed & Breakfast. Operated under USFS Permit.

What to bring:

This is an all-weather activity, so please dress appropriately. On our fishing trips, we supply basic fishing gear, hip waders, etc.

Group details:

All boats operating on the 20-Mile do so under "6 pack" regulations, which limits us to 6 guests per boat. Luckily, we have a lot of boats available, and the capacity to handle groups. Salmon bake anyone? We got your river-side group activity covered!!
