Tandem Paragliding

Before you know it, you've completed a safety briefing... you're hooked into a tandem paragliding harness... adrenaline is pumping through your body... you look around one last time... then you're running... leaping... and soaring like an eagle over Mount Alyeska!

Description

After a scenic ride up the Aleyska Tram, and a short introduction to paragliding basics, we outfit you with a helmet and harness and the adventure begins. You and your instructor will fly off the mountain from a point near the Tramway terminal and glide into Girdwood Valley on a ride you will not soon forget. Flights can be a radical adrenaline rush or a mellow sight-seeing sensation, so just tell your pilot what you're after.

As co-pilot, you will take part in the launch, so bring sturdy footwear. When the moment comes, you and your pilot will run a short distance in an attempt to create enough speed to launch. Once airborne, relax and let your experienced pilot take control while you enjoy a bird's eye view of Girdwood Valley and beyond. After 10-15 minutes in the air, glide down to Moose Meadows for a soft landing on Alaskan muskeg.

Check In

Please arrive at the Alyeska Resort ticket window 30 minutes before your scheduled flight. Here you will fill out the necessary paperwork, get your Tram pass and receive instructions on where to meet your pilot.
